Single Vehicle MVA at Chesterfield Drive/College Ave

Units from 21 and 65 responded to College Ave and Chesterfield Drive for a single vehicle accident into the guardrail. Captain 21 was on scene first, called in accident, and assumed command while assessing patient. Penn Twp. Ambulance transported single patient to hospital for evaluation. 21 units remained on-scene with PSP until tow truck cleared wreckage.

At 20:58 hours, Grapeville Rescue 21 responded along with Rescue 65 North Hempfield and Rescue 112 Jeannette. Chief 21 arrived on scene and accessed the scene confirming vehicle approximate 80 feet over hillside.

Grapeville VFC responded to Mt Thor Road to checkout a tree on wires in area of 415 Mt Thor Road, i was a tree on cable line cable notified of situation
Grapeville Fireman assisted High PArk at 1038 hours this morning picking up staging at Subway.
Grapeville fire Chief and North Hempfield fire Chief handled clearing the roadway of a down tree blocking Oakford Park Roadway area of 126 Oakford Park Road.

Grapeville Fireman along with North Hempfield fireman to large trees down on Mt Thor Road at 0424 hours, after checking the scene we placed road cones and notified Hempfield Township Road Dept Supervisor to handle the situation.

Grapeville Fireman responded to tree down on wires at 8 Gondula Street in the Village at 2131 hours, taped off area, notified 911 to notify West Penn Power. All units cleared at 2158 hours.

at 17:51 hours Foam 21 and Chief 21 arrived on scene of single vehicle accident. Chief 21 canceled all units but 21. Rescue 21 was requested to scene for stabilization. Chief 21 requested Rescue 61 to the scene for addition personnel.

16:42 Hours Station 21 along with 61, 65, 112, 104 and lad 79-2 responded to STAPLES alarm. Command 21 [chief Nescot] held all units except 21 in quarters. Security notified 911 that alarm was malfunctioning.

Grapeville Fire Chief, came across a single vehicle accident route 130 College Avenue at the Oakford Park Fruit Market blocking the eastbound lanes. Grandview VFC along with Grapeville and North Hempfield Fire Companies assisted.

Grapeville Fire Company assisted Jeannette by taking Traffic Control at Agnew Road and Route 30 to protect Firefighters working at the fire at the old Monsour Hospital. 0020 hours to 0325 hours. PA Dot relieved the traffic control points held by Fire Departments.

Saturday April 27, 2013 Grapeville Fireman practiced DRAFTING water from the Stream by Sharders Dairy Queen. Drafting from streams, pools or portable ponds aid in fighting fires. Our Drive/Operators got hands on training in drafting, and maintaining a water supply.

18:22 hours Grapeville was called to assist North Hempfield VFC on tree and wires down, blocking roadway. Rescue 21 was in route to assist when Chief 65 had us return to station and standby for them. North Hempfield Rescue and Attack 65 handled call.
